TERROIR

« Vitatge Vielh » is the Occitan name of a old-vines-parcel of 1.3 ha,
planted in the 1940’s. It is a mixture of three varieties: Gros Manseng, Petit
Manseng and a bit of Courbu.

WINE-MAKING/MATURING

After a slow pressing, the juice is lightly extracted and fermented in oak
barrels (varying from 2-4 years old). The wine will age for one year in
barrel, with regular stirring of the lees, and then six months in tank.

BOTTLING

After 2 winters.

TASTING NOTES

The Vintage Vielh is beautifully golden in appearance and on the nose
shows aromas of dried and stewed fruit, spicy bread and honeyed acacia.
Upfront and vivacious, this wine is an unctuous well-structured mouthful.
There is perfect balance between a graceful acidity and a proud richness
and persistency.

SERVICE TEMPERATURE

To serve between 8° and 10° C.

LAYING-DOWN

From 8 to 10 years.
